A call reporting a person in cardiac arrest brought police to 155 Northampton Street in Boston on November 29, 2022 where they found 55-year-old Robert Lee Scott, of Boston, according to the Boston Police Department. Scott was transported to a local hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

Months after his death, on Friday, April 21, 2023, the Medical Examiner ruled Scott's death a homicide. The cause of death was determined to be sharp force injury to the heart.

An investigation into Scott's death led to the identification of Tanya Kelley, 57, as his murderer.

On Thursday, April 27, Kelley, of Boston, was arrested by the Boston Police Fugitive Unit.

Kelley will be arraigned in the Boston Municipal Court.

The situation is still under investigation. Anyone with information about the case is asked to contact Boston Police Homicide Detectives at (617) 343-4470.
